About Mark Adams
I am a dedicated finance professional and bookkeeper based in Campbell River, committed to helping organizations across Vancouver Island achieve financial clarity through a blend of international experience and a deep-rooted connection to the Pacific Northwest.
My journey in finance began at the University of Colorado, where I earned a BS in Accounting and Finance. Throughout my career, I have built a diverse portfolio of experience across several sectors including technology, agriculture, manufacturing, charity and non-profit, education, and arts management.
In my previous roles within the private sector, I assisted in the creation of annual audited financial statements under IFRS standards and managed complex multi-currency transactions. My background in the charitable sector is equally extensive, having managed financial operations for performing arts colleges and worked within individual giving teams to achieve stewardship and engagement targets.
Since 2021, I have operated as a self-employed finance manager and bookkeeper, providing comprehensive services like full service bookkeeping, payroll processing, financial reporting, and tax reporting for a variety of clients. I am advanced in Excel and highly proficient in a wide range of industry-standard software, including Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Intacct.
While I am passionate about numbers and systems, I find my balance in nature. Originally born in Bristol, England, I immigrated to Canada at a young age and have spent much of my life exploring the province. Today, I am proud to call Campbell River home, where I live with my wife and our two dogs. When Iām not at my desk, I am usually outdoors hiking, camping, or running, or spending time painting. I look forward to supporting the Vancouver Island community with professional and reliable financial oversight.
